yes i was wondering is it really worth the extra money to get the phat shafts or are the regular opie shafts good enough no sled pulling but racing only hp e.s.t 800+
 
Regular sized billet shafts live at 800 all day..... Insurance is not a bad thing though.

The output is usually all about how much boost do you plan on holding with the brakes. If it is ever going to be over 20lbs you should go bigger. Why? With first gear ratio of 2.45 to 1 so if you are holding 800'lbs of torq on the input it is roughly 2000 at the output.
