Hey guys... I'm looking to get a trans built by Jeff Garmon here in the next few weeks... I was told by Ty(Triton) he uses Opie shafts and I have heard a few things about them and I went on the website and saw the DiMartini Input being the most increadable one out there.. Is anyone using Opie shafts and how do they like them? please give me some good info... my father inlaw passed away last night so I could use some pick me up info!

couple of hard launches, locked shifts, and sled pulls on his intermediate and output, the best part about the output is that you don't need to do anything to the transfer case.

I just bought an Opie input for my trans build, almost too nice to hide inside the trans!

All I hear is good things about the Opie Shafts. If my Sonnax or TCS shafts break again, then I am having Goerend or Garmon build the transmission with Opie shafts.

Opie makes some of the best shafts on the market. I had all three untill the input broke. It was the older two hole that was put in buy a different builder and not the new four hole input shaft.I found out after it broke opie did not warranty them. I needed my truck back quick and put something different in but I will put another opie in it later. It will be the fat shaft with one of the new 4 disc converters from Diesel performance converters which is the ones that Phill builds at Garmon's shop. You can't go wrong with Garmon

Opie does good work.. I've watched him and followed his products for a number of years now.

And walking through his place I feel like a kid in a candy store :hehe:.

Opie builds great parts, and I have locked up my triple disc converter and let it shift on his input many many times.. no problems.

Opie is good. As mentioned above, he has huge shaft options for going above 1200hp and two converter builder's support for the big shaft.

seems you can't go wrong with the Opie stuff Michael. You will need the oversized TC though for the big Opie input though. I think you'll spend a little more going this route but, you'll end up saving in the long run.

These are the guys that Opie was working with last I knew. Not sure who the second is.

Opie and Dave are really good Friends... I loved my Opie/Ultimate Transmission... They have the normal IE shafts and then the "phat" shafts. the phat shafts require you to change in input shaft on the transfer case. I believe last time I talked to Dave the Di Martino Shafts were replaced with the"phat Shafts

I've got both an Allison in my 06 with Opie's shafts and a RE48 Duraflite with Opie's fat shafts for Max'd Out. Don't think you can beat them.

I have the components to build the pfat shaft quad disc converter in stock. I should have the components for the pfat shaft triple disc converter within the next four to six weeks.

I'm extremely pleased with my "Garmon/DPC/Opie" unit. Let us know when you are "Garmonized". My condolence's on your loss.
