99 24v 180k, white smoke at start up. If you rev it up it misses between 1500-2000rpm's and heavier white smoke mixed with black. Runs smooth up to 1500. I am fairly sure the VP is getting ready to go south due to dead peddle issues but I was wondering if the white smoke could be a head gasket. I have never had a bad head gasket on a daily driver before and all the race trucks broke to the outside and were visible. Thanks

Are there any codes? Sounds like a pump.

could definately be the pump, timing problems can cause white smoke too.

There is a pump code, I am sure it is going out but it never smoked white before.
