Orange transmission fluid.

Trans fluid looks orange and all I can find is it changes to that when it's to old. I'm on the fence about changing it. It's a stock auto with 140,000 miles. What's your guys opinions?

I'd change it and the filter just to be safe but I wouldn't flush it. Just drain and refill.

I wouldn't touch it. Last time I did that, I lost the trans 3 days later. Just leave it alone.

If the trans has never been serviced just leave it alone. I've found that doing the service too late will always result in failure within the first week.

Take the money you would spend servicing it, and put it in a savings acct to build a good trans when that one finally gives up.

Thanks guys for the input. I wish I had the cash for a trans but I don't. That's why I wanted to ask.
