Output shaft

Ok i am suppose to have an ATS stage 5 tranny. It has been shifting funny into Drive. Well today while pulling a trailer and it would not shift up into Drive. I let out of the throttle and it shifted hard in to drive. The truck would not accelerate or nothing. It was dead in the water. I pulled the transfer case off and guess what the dang output shaft was broke. My question is has anyone with a billet output shaft broken one?????
