Overdrive shifting issue

About a month or so ago, i flushed the fluid in my trans and cooling lines, first time since it has been rebuilt. Fluid looked a tad dark but didn't smell bad, so i changed the filter and refilled the system. Ever since since, my truck has delayed shifting through the gears, for example it doesn't shift out of first till about 20mph, which at that point the things screamin pretty good. Now when i get into third gear, converter locked, it will not shift into OD at all without me lifting all the way outta the throttle, any thoughts?

sounds like you are pulling on tv cable a lot,

I just read a lot of different articles about the tv cable, ill admit I've never adjusted mine nor do I know what i should be set at, looks like it should be just tight enough to when my throttle cable pulls so does that, am i correct?

Yes, it should be just snug to start out with. Then you can tighten it til you like the shift points(just a little adjustment at a time)
