My head is off due to head gasket so have multiangle valve job and port and polish how much of a did is that gonna make??? And flux 4s how r they on start up in winter when really cold and how will they e with s472 on bottom for daily driving smoky or clean????

Not sure on your head work because mine was a stock head, but I had Flux 4's. They were fine on cold starts and idle but they were a bit smokey down low on the street.

But with SSR I was able to help that a bit..

Now with EFI on 06 and up, Flux 4's could be driven almost smoke free with a good tuner like Rich at Dog House.

Well heads back here is pictures of the ported valve bowls

I would have oringed while it was off. 625s are good, but orings and 425s would be cheaper and hold more.

Money wass tight when hg blew. I actually sold my r6 motorcycle to pay for all work on truck

625's will be fine!
Held my Flux 4's and twins with a stock head.

Just do your retorques and go to 150 ft lbs

A mls gasket and 625's are holding strong at 85+ for me daily! Going to an older gasket and o-rings would be a step backwards imo.

Got head on and studs in gotta torque them yet and do retorques any helpful hints anybody

Just what I do:

Taking them up in 5 lb incriments from 100...all the way to 150. (Long process..Letting thread relax / cool for 5 mins. in between each pull)

Crank and let get up to complete Op temp for approx. 15 mins...

Let cool down to completely cold..

Losen one at a time...Re-lube...Take back to 150.

Drive the truck modderately for a 100 miles or so.. Not full boost or any hard beatings...

Do one last "Warm" torgue... Not losening but just making sure they pull to 150 while "warm..

Then Beat it like it owes you Money!! :)

Worked for me so far...But HG's have never been my issue... Bowing up the Whole freakin engine has...LOL

Just curious, but is that all you did? A valve job and port the bowls. Is the side intake still attached? If so, I would deffinately like to know your results. I am going to have my head off in the next few months and I would like to allow my head to flow as much as it can.

Ya I seen ur thread from last time u blew her up that was some major destruction

And ya the head work and studs and gr flux 4s the guy that I went thru for headwork owns keystone diesel and said he has it on his 5.9 and better spool up and a little lower egts and lowered drive pressure

Isn't your truck a 6.7 yzf250? Or did I miss that info in this thread?

A 6.7 already spools chargers like Mad!
I can only imagine that with head work like that it'll be even better.

Well got it running today took it for a ride and def is flowing better and getting more fuel lol ordering charger next week
