I am doing a p-pump swap on my 92 Dodge Pull truck. I have acquired a free 910 P-pump off a 190hp Cummins bus motor.

If one was to have about a $500 + or - budget to modify the pump yourself to get over about 400-450cc's, what mods would you get( ie rack plug, DVs,ect)? Wanting to turn it about 4500rpms. This is 2.6 pull truck so it doesn't matter about how streetable it needs to be.

Is this pump going to be a good base to get there? I know a 913 pump would be better but the bus motor and pump was free.

Thanks for any info.

Well your gonna need a little more than $500.

You can grind your own zero plate for free
$175 for a set of Columbus 5K governor springs
Shop around I haven't bought DV's in years figuring...$150-200
Then you can send your pump to Seth "CTDyoungGun" to have it maxed & balanced on a bench (around 450-500cc's) for about $200.

Rack plugs only work on certain pumps...do some searching... I want to say they are only better for smaller 160-175hp pumps but maybe I'm wrong?

i think the 190 pumps have different dvs in them so you have to change the holders to run regular dv.
