P-pump question?

I have a E7 Mack in my commercial boat, its 650HP @ 2300rpms. I had the pump rebuilt for $5000.oo. Does this sound like alot?

in 2006 when I built my last truck I had almost 4k tied up into the pump. That was with 13mm P&B's , custom cut cam and a bunch of other goodies that are the norm now but where still very secret only a few years ago.

Sounds pretty damn high...

We had to buy a new p3000 for one of our 4BTA3.9's last year, brand new, straight from cummins it was only $4k canadian. It was a few years since we had to buy a p7100 for one of our 6b's but IIRC it wasnt worth much more than 5k canadian...

I would say they took you for a bit of a ride... unless they gold plated it or something
