ok just installed my new vp44 and now i get p1690 fuel injection pump ckp sensor does not agree with ecm ckp senser

what the hell does this mean? is this why it wont start? what do i do?

Cam position sensor in the 2001 as I think they did away with the crank sensor after 2000. did you get your vp timed right.

Did you make sure you didn't knock the key out of the pump when you installed.

The cam sensor is down below and sorta behind the pump make sure you didn't knock the plug off the sensor. Also check the wiring harness at the pump make sure its on right. If you crack the injector lines open are you getting any fuel while cranking motor.

HELP

i didnt have the key way in the right spot i thought it was but didnt look close enough got it lined up and started right up but now its kinda doing what the old pump did and blow alot of white smoke at start and starts hard still but not as bad as the old pump

Call where you got the pump tell them what happened, they can let you know how to tell what key you need.
