This bulb goes into the back of the headlight switch and illuminates the text. Anyone have any idea where or how to get one? I have an idea if I call the dealer, they will tell me I have to buy a whole new assembly to get a $1 bulb.

I thought about try to put an LED in the base....but this one is smoked so bad, I can't tell if it is an LED or an incandescent. I figured if I could figure out exactly what it is, I'd just get the real deal. Thanks for the link.

I called dealership. Go a "what do you want?" look over the phone. Then I googled it. I found this.

1-05015732AA Dodge bulb. $4.50. Called the dealer, they will order me one and if it is wrong, I don't have to buy it.

SCORE!

I found that on DTR..I guess they are good for something. :D THANKS 8lugXJ!

Suspected part number for the factory fog-light option bulb if anyone needs it.

I like your Idea better 4x4dually you can get LED's rated for 12vdc. I'd get some of them and wire it into the connector and be done with it. Sides looks like the incandecent was gettin too hot in there He He!

i take it this is the bulb that lights up the area/lettering around the headlight switch/fog light pull? Mine is also not working. I have a question....:doh:a lazy question....How do u get to that bulb and remove it? I never attempted to do anything about the problem since I know where the headlight switch is. Could u tell me just how easy it is to replace......step by step please. Thanks.

My bulb isn't burnt out. Just makes a bad connection. I forget that the headlight switch lights up until the bulb wiggles around and lights it up. LOL

Pop the plastic dash surround off and its 2 or 3 screws holding the switch in. Remove it and the bulb is easily accessible. And thanks Jory, my bulb is sitting in my cupholder because I had the same thing happen. I knew someone would do the legwork for me if I was lazy for long enough, LOL.
