Does anyone know how or where phosphorous can get into Diesel fuel?
Have a customer who has a 1000 gallon tank full of fuel with 314ppm of P. All the other aspects of the sample look normal. The API is a touch high at 41.
Normal P content it less then 10 ppm.
Is there some kind of additive that will cause a increase in P?
I just have not seen this before and neither has the lab or the fuel supplier.
I am just trying to determine if this fuel is safe to run in his older machines.
Any info would be great, I havent had much luck searching on the net.
