Piston rings

Ok so I have been told that running 12 valve rings on a common rail engine is better than common rail rings. This true? Anyone run with this setup?

Idk about all that, I would think a ring is a ring when it comes to factory cummins rings? I run factory oil ring, and top compression ring and a total seal gapless 2nd ring, I like them alot but a little harder to put in, but its worth it.
