piston?

I have a 06 truck right now, I can get a killer deal on a set of .40 over 04 psitons that are coated and have total seals.... can I only change my pistons and inj. tips to 04 and be fine or does the ecm need changed.... are they the same electronics? thanks danny

Not the same electronics (more injection events in 04.5+) and I wouldn't run Totalseals in any Cummins. Did you check with Jeff (Snedge) on piston prices? He's normally where Cummins parts can be bought for a song, on any budget, very competitive, they cost next to nothing, which is easy on the pocketbook, economical, nominal, popularly priced, reasonable, uncostly and worth the money. Sometime Woodruff has used pistons forsale.

used pistons? idk about that... i would like a new set...lol although I do def. pull on a budget.... maybe I will call them.. im about to just do a 12v swap in this thing...
