So on my 99 Ext cab, there is this absolutely terrible squeak/creaking noise coming from somewhere behind the drivers seat/up in the door seems/ rear left corner of the cab.. It squeaks when I drop it into reverse and pump on and off the brakes, then it squeaks as I drive down the road when it is cold inside the cab. If it is hot inside the cab it doesn't squeak as much. Also with a trailer on the truck it will squeak non stop.. Ive taken out the rear seat, sprayed silicone behind the interior panels, and made sure the cab and bed mounts are tight.

Any ideas??? its killing me

thanks guys

Have you looked at your leaf springs you could have a cracked one that is squeaking in the pack that would make sence to me because it gets worse when you are pulling. Just a thought. It would most likely transfer into the cab. I had a ford that did the same thing.

Drive shaft? My uncles truck did something similar and it was bad U-joints.

Ill check both those things, the other part that is weird though is how its like temp sensitive.. but it could just be coincidence, it also does it with people sitting in the back seat, but then again I've taken the rear seat out and no difference

The top of my fuel tank was rubbing on something above it, I think a crossmember on the bottom of the box. I had a squeak for a long time, thought it was the rear seat or front of the box and finally figured out it was that. I put a small shim between the two and it hasn't squeaked since...might be something to check.
