porting ATS 3 pc

does anyone remember how wide they made the rectangles at the flange when they ported their manifold?

hard to believe 3 cyls have to get crammed thru one of these small holes

when i did mine i made em 2 x 1 but i am thinking about making them wider

anyone have some max dim for me?

ps - have you seen the new gaskets for the turbo?

they are a lot bigger than they used to be

not saying i am gonna make the ex housing that big - but thinking about it

the 14 ex housing is thinner than the stainless ones

thining about widening the flange to 1 4/32 (1.25")

ring any bells?

i dont think you have seen the new gaskets

ended up making the manifold 1 3/32 x 2 3/32

and the turbo 1 1/8 x 2 1/8
 
well if you lay them on the flange you will see what i am talking about

they are really wide

as in you would go thru

i didnt 'flare' the port but rather ported it straight in from the above dimensions

think its gonna work good too
