My truck was the ugliest at the event, possibly even offended some with the permanently stained hood w/oil.

But i put down 435hp/892tq on the stock turbo. Not a bad day. Heres a vid and some graphs.

Nice numbers!

How's that housing spool?

Decently. It smacks ya back in the seat around 2000. Its laggier than stock, but i think it makes up for it on the top end. It may be up for sale soon, im fabbing up some twins for next weekend's dyno event. I wish i could do a dyno back to back with both housings on the hx35 :bang. I wonder if my 12 cm wouldve given much more torque.

I've got a 12cm housing...

370s, 100 plate, modded AFC, 16.5* timing 3k GSK and did 411/995

Did you see the paint?

I figure its easier on my feelings when i insult it, that way im ready when other people called it a piece o crap. But thanks, i like it!

so what get out a sander knock the paint down some and rattle can it flat black.

this is very good info for me, :thankyou2: so given that i have bigger injectors you think i should just keep my stock 12cm exhaust housing on and try and break 1000ft lbs on the stocker, or you think i'll still break 1000ft lbs with the 18.5cm housing since i have such bigger injectors. i know its possible because this kid on here(chris lutrell) did it with a his 98 12v but with 5x.014's from smokem set at 110hp or 120, either way they were turned down and he did 423hp and 1006lb ft of torque with similar mods to you. so im really debating even switching the housing.

If you want more power higher in the power band where I'd want to make it for someone wanting a quicker street truck swap the housing, jmho. You may not make as much peak torque for bragging right due to longer for the turbo to spool but will win my runs on the street. Good luck!

If you want to swap them just for the dyno, that would be a smart thing probably. It'll show less power, but more torque. As you can see by my chart, the powerband goes relatively high in the rpm range steadily increasing with the 18.5 housing.

Its better on the street for power. I need that torque to get off the line quickly, but once im rolling, i need more power(which the 18.5 housing actually helps alot with).

I wouldn't waste one second on the paint/body. That truck's got CHARACTER! :D

I'd stick with the 18.5, a 12cm is going to kill your top end

exactly. Thanks Forrest.

i would keep the paint how it is until the engine is all done, then i would work on the body or the suspension is you want. for me its all about go, then show. but a vehicle like yours is what i would call a sleeper. except its a 5spd so im not sure how fast it is from a digg.

well, its gonna be laggy from a dig cuz its got lots of fuel and no air,

We'll see how she is with the twins (ht3b/23 under the hx35/12).

But i can row them pretty decently i think. I pulled the stack to contribute to the sleeper look. But i agree 110 percent. When the motor is done, maybe i will give it a paint job and fix my single dent. But probably not for a long while.

what cursed said is true

they can be a bit laggy, but the numbers he pulled are nothing to sneeze at... especially with a stock charger..

Yeah, as you mightve heard through my voice in the vid, i was excited to break 420! Actually, i was expecting somewhere between 400-420.

I havent heard of much more than 440 on a stock turbo 12 valve to begin with.
