i have a powcon plasma cutter that is just setting around the shop not being used my we got it for my father a year or two ago to use at the farm but his welder didnt doesnt put out enough amps to use it it takes 200 amps to use this plasma cutter and we dont do enough cutting in our shop to need this around. when we purchased this the torch leads were said to be rebuilt by previous owner the only thing i see it needs is the torch tip. it requires a stick welder and air source to operate and should cut 1 inch just fine and said to be able to handle 1" 1/4 thick steel. dont know what this would be worth to someone 2 yrs ago we paid 750 would like to see 500 out of it if possible

Thanks! I'll keep it in mind. I'll travel through there next month.

Would this work with anything other than a stick welder?

it will work how ever you want to set it up as long as you supply a power and ground as far as the actual instructions to do so i dont have. but you have to have a power supply and a ground to get this to operate mainly used through a welder to control the main supply of amps you can fine tune on the plasma cutter its self. i have used it with our mig machine at work that has stick leads on it and i only say a stick welder because you cant clamp a mig lead on to the back of the plasma cutter. i am sure if you know the mechanics behind them you can wire it how you want but it requires a power source and an air supply.
