power locks messin up??? help!!

ok to start, i have power locks, and i quit using my fob and just use my key to lock and unlock my door, and have been doing that for like 3 months. the other day i was driving down the road and my lock just started locking and unlocking randomly over and over agian, and when i got home, i tryed locking them and they kept unlocking and locking over and over, so i pulled the fuse and then i couldent start my truck.......and now, when i unlock my door on the drivers side, it wont unlock the passenger side.....and the alarm goes off and wont shut off.........i have no idea where to even start....electronics arent my thing.....

Is your remote entry tied into your alarm/ security system? I'm guessing that that is where your problem lies. Somewhere in the brains of that. Is it dealer installed or an aftermarket system? Mine had some kind of alarm system on it that I wasn't aware of, and I somehow triggered it, and it wouldn't allow the truck to start and would lock the doors after a short period of time. I've just completely by passed that now.

I would think you have a chaffed wire or lose plug somewhere. Take the door panels off and inspect the plug that connects the harness to the switch pod. Then inspect the wires as they go through the door and into the truck body. I think you have a short or a faulty switch in the door somewhere. You may have a dozen wires, but it is only 12 VDC and ground. You can do it.
