Power steering

My ps pump is leaking bad but i cant really tell where. Its got oil everywhere. Can i possibly change gasket at back of timing cover. I thinks its that or line going into bottom of it. Anybody have this problem or know what would be the best route to go!

mine was leaking one time where the bolts are on top of the worm gear box, i tighten them down and no more leaky.

Thanks im gonna check that. If its sittin there runnin after prob 5min or so there will be oil spot about size if 2 quarters. The whole driverside of the block is nasty as hell. The front diff has got a layer probaly 1in thick of oil and mud!

is it maybe your vent tube??? it is conveniently located right above the powersteering gear and will cover that area with oil at times.

I didnt think about that. Im in the process if putting ip on the truck and when i took breather tube off i didnt even look. I had some were it was leaking fom oil pan and i got under there and tightend everything and that fixed it. Would it hurt to just dump the lil jug that the tube goes n from time to time

i extended my puke tube down below the front axle. That way if i forgot to dump the bottle it didnt make a mess.
