Powerstroke Troubles

My 1995 ford powerstroke is having sustained running problems. It will be driving along just fine and then all of a sudden start loosing power and die. It take some trying to start it and then it will finally start. It will start really rough and then clean up and keep driving. It has done this three times now and i am in need of help urgently, so any ideas are appreciated. Oh, and this truck is maintained very well.

probably the cps (cam position sensor), get a new one and it should solve your problem, there is a recall on them right now from ford, but if I remember correctly it was 97 and up for some reason so not sure if you can get it replaced for free or not. Worth it to try though!

CPS. By the way this is 99-03 strokes. But that could be the prob. I dont know what year the recall was but I had one put in a while back from international and havent had a prob. Everyone says the international ones are the cheapest also.
