Ppump fuel feed

Has anyone feed the pump by the front port which is normally the return? And used the feed as the return. Because with the fitting in the pump for the airdog and the apps bracket it's really tight fit and I don't think it will fit.
 
You want the return higher than the feed, to purge out any air that may get in.
 
My throttle bracket is touching the air dog line, I just spun the fitting until one of the flat sides were straight up and down so my bracket would bolt on

I can take a picture if needed
 
Alright I'll get it fit in there, I could always notch the bracket a hair I guess, just figure I could back feed it until you mentioned air in the pump.
