Not sure if it's been posted on CompD or not but the TTTPA is having a pull Friday and Saturday. The stock diesels will pull both Friday and Saturday night starting at 10 p.m. Antiques will pull all day Saturday. Any questions please call Gayle at Melody Oaks Ranch, 325-356-5231. They're having Jason Boland on Friday night and Mark McKinney on Saturday night.

I'll be there with the Antique... They are going to have two sled.. but I think it will be Antiques on one during the day.. and mostly Hot Rods on the other.. (HWH Sled) But doen't mean they won't pull trucks on both if they need too..

I heard from someone that to pull in a tttpa sanctioned event you gotta have a bell housing blanket and stack/upward pointing exhaust

To pull in the tttpa you must have u joint sheilds cross bolted exhaust and a stack, trans blanket if you rev over 4500rpm...

you also need to be a member..

there is a fun pull afterwards that you can pull for fun there are no rules and no payout

go to there site http://tttpa.com/

You will also need a breakaway kill of sum sort, they will be checkin I heard..

Im checking on the kill, its not in the rules.. also I did notice that they are saying you will need a tranny blanket, but im checkhing on that to, I was thinking it was for 4500rpm and up..

Now thats bull ****. I guess if its an air shut off that would be fine but to hell if i am going to shut my $2000 plus dollar VP of at full throttle. Sure hope an air shut off is enough. i have seen a few videos of trucks getting shut down just because somehow the kill switch was pulled during a pull. Didnt sound good. But i am sure on a P pump it might not be near as bad as with a souped up VP.

Finally got an answer from TTTPA....

You do need to have a transmission blanket, BUT they are going to wave this rule for the priddy pull.

No breakaway kill is needed

These rules only apply to those who are, or will become a member of the TTTPA and pull in there 2.8 street diesel class..

Well i was told back when the rules first came out and they didnt not include a breakaway or a tranny blanket that they would not change the rules for another 2years or something like that. So how did these come about all of a sudden. I am almost to the point of throwing my hands up and just drag racing. The track is a 1/4 mile from the shop. I am getting tired of chacing rules every damn pull.

they had there annual meeting in Dec, I was supposed to be there but ended up working out of town that week. I guess thats when they changed them, but they are slow to update the website. the new website just started to work a little over a week ago. Im gonna get there early today and have a talk with the other guys to see why this rule came about..I can maybe see a bellhousing blanket for the standard transmission. But to cover the whole trans from block to tailshaft with min 6" overlap, I dont even see this as being possible.

oh it is if you have the money i priced on the otherday and it was over $400

A few pics.. My videos are still loading on youtube.. Sorry, I didn't get everyones pit pics... But I got all the videos
they should be ready soon. I'll just post a link to my videos for now..

Thanks,
Not sure which truck was Jeremy's, but heard he did Friday night.. I don't think anyone hurt anything Saturday night.. Lennys shut off solenoid acted up at the end of his hook.. It died, and they had to push him off the track.. but he fixed it, and drove it..
It was a great turn out, both trucks and people.. The TTTPA guys are really starting to put on a good show.. it will be nice when they get more Diesel tractors.. should be some finishing in the next few months...

Heres a video of my pull saturday.

The track came in real nice, If you seen it before the pull started it looked like a mud pit.. The track crew did a great job!

I have a few things to address such as new tires and getting some weight on the front of my truck (I weighed about 500lbs under the other trucks) along with getting the trasmission working properly, it will be coming out after the west pull next saturday.
