Priming the converter?

I am going to do the first service on my DTT trans, and was wondering how to reprime the converter after draining. Or should I not drain it? Or turn the engine over without firing it? I just primed it out of the truck last time before install. Thanks,

add 6 quarts of fluid then start the truck in neutral and add the rest of the fluid.

typically you don't drain the convertor---just drain the fluid from the pan--and then do as stated above....chris

Yeah, I was thinking of switching to Synthetic fluid, and I've already drained all my lines and cooler quite thoroughly, and drained my pan once. Should I just stick with regular fluid and not worry about draining the converter or make the effort and switch. Is there any problem with switching to synthetic?
