My a/c did not work, so i checked the pressure and its was low, but not empty.
So a filled it up, but a can only come to the specified pressure on the low side, not on the high side. I tried to fill a little more, but only the pressure on the low side was increasing, not on the high side. The troubleshooting guide in the workshop manual, tell me that its possible compresor that is the problem. But a wonder if it can be something else, like a air dry filter that is stuck or something? The piping gets cold after a few seconds, after the compressor has started.

I have changed the accumulator today, and the ac blows really cold, and the pressure on low and high side is with in the spec in the work shop manual.
Thanks for your help scottsjeeprolet.

Glad I could help.
I threw a lot of Freon & money at mine before figuring it out.

If it was low it is leaking, did you notice any oil at any of the fittings?

I dont see any oil on the fittings, but it have hold the pressure 3 or 4 weeks, from that a tried to fill it first time to yesterday when i changed the accu. Hope it hold the pressure this summer at least. Were is most common for the leak in these trucks?

The Evaporator is the most common leaker. Of course the hardest to change too.
Nilsson i hope you put a vacuum on the system before filling it.
My symptoms were no AC. The low side would read normal but the high would peg the gauge. I'm lucky i didn't blow something up.

Yes i put vacuum on the system. Mine was the opposite, only the low side was increasing when i filled it up. Hope its working during the last of the summer.

How long did it hold vacuum and how deep of a vacuum? The evap, condensor and compressor shaft seal seem to big the culprits for most of the a/c leaks I deal with.
