What is the best chip to put on a 01 dodge. Most power, torque, and tunning capabilities.

Edge drag comp, although im sure the adrenaline guys will say other wise

Yep...the ADR! I never had any issues with mine and as far as I know the tunes dated 10/21/08 have fixed all the known issues....

smatrys are able to add 180+ due to the fact that you are able do custom tuning witch makes me ask a question rumor has it that EFI live is coming out for dodge? If so i would say that is the way to go.

I vote for the smarty. I put down 408/850 with the smarty and a set of sticks. You'll notice a big difference on the street too. $.02

As far as EFI live - the cost of the new ECM will put that waaayy out of range for most people. Go to the Dodge Competition forum .. I think thats where the thread was started on that. Something like $9k for the ECM.

I think that you are refering to the 3rd gen smarty's. and i dont think that EFI live can benifit the second gens. like it can he 3rd gens.

Depends on what you want to use it for... and that still leaves it up for debate. The top 4 in no particular order IMO would be the Redline box(or FMS), Smarty, Drag Comp and Smarty.

The Smarty does not add nearly as much power on a 24v. Comp or ADR makes a lot more power. ADR has a ton more features than the Comp, like turbo timer and warm-up mode. Plus a boat load of different tunes. IMO it goes to the ADR over the Comp, hands down.

Any particular reason you listed smarty twice in your top 4?

I don't think you are going to get a definitive answer on what one is the "best". A lot of boxes work well on a lot of different trucks. I really liked my TST powermax3 for the 24v ran with and without the smarty. Other guys don't like TST stuff on the 24v. You'll probably have to play around to find what one you would like the best to suit whatever needs you have - pulling, racing, street, etc.

put it this way...

i raced a 99 24v with an adrenaline, his was a 5 speed manual, with an intake, stock exhaust, with a leveling kit on 35" tires. mine is an 02 24v, drag comp, (i had stock injectors at the time) with an intake and exhaust, on 33" tires.

he ran a 16.19 @ 85.90mph
I ran a 16.20 @ 86.39mph

if i didnt get my drag comp for cheap, i woulda gone with the ADR hands down. that sucker fuels hard.
