well at ts and local pull tonight i ran stock drive shaft and no loops, and not my 1 piece and loops and shields

well at 320ft mark tonight i broke the yoke, ujoint, and drive shaft on the rear at the T case, and it went through the floorboard and put approx 4 inch hole in the floor

Lesson was learned the hard way, but hope others can prevent this from happening on there own trucks

Oh yea i still took 1rst place!:woohoo:

I know its been beat to death but lets see some pics of good quality ones just for good measure im building a set in a few min.

Imagine that, driveline loops would have done some good. You whining bioches might want to heed this warning.

Did it come completely through or just put a hole in it, lucky it didnt go into the fuel tank. Just imagine on a dodge, if that had been the front shaft it would have come through your seat. That would leave a mark. This topic has been beat to death and still some people dont get it ( not speaking of you House) and it takes no time to fab up a set and could save peoples lives and equipment

Ill second that! Heck It took me til 4 am that moringing to put his new shafts, sheilds and guards! Oh and we got a video of it breaking!

Whoo Hooo Congrats on the win but shame on you for not having the safety stuff. Glad nobody got hurt.

Now lets see the video

Just a hole carpet and padding stopped it from coming through, I was playing with borrowed time i knew it, Ive been so busy going to drs and getting ready for surgery that i didn't have the pulling shaft and shields on, The plan was to install them on Monday, but that didn't pan out

ouch man i know what i am doing this week finishing my front drive shaft shield got the back on done just not the front yet

Did you break anything else that rear made a funny bounce just before the shaft let loose

What U-joints do you guys run? I have some Brute Force w/o grease nipple and they held and my pinion snapped.

nothing else broke, put the one piece driveshaft in and shields and loops and pulled the next night

I run Spicer non greaseables, the one that broke was a ford factory one still

OK Please read, Directors of ORG's Most rules state only a shield on the rear end only for rear, I think after my incident it should be for every U joint after see the Damage
