Just curious what you guys are seeing for EGTs pulling the sled. I just want to see how my temps compare to others with a Street class 12v.
I am seeing way over 1600* since that is where the gauge pegs at and I think I am actually running anywhere from 1900*-2200* by the end of the pull by the needle pretty much facing straight down.
Those temps are seen with 370 injectors, 100 plate and stock 181 DVs being pushed through an S400.:)

Thanks, Joe

1900-2200 here i guess too my neeedle si same as yours

Wow, you guys have time to look at the guages??? I guess I am too much of a newbie...

just put duct tape over the guage and floor it i see around 1300 with the 191 dv's and over 1600 with the l.c. dv's

Well, now I am wondering if I added some larger DVs to get more fuel moving across the turbo giving me more boost and stepped the timing up above my current 19.5* if I could get them down some.
Keep the references coming guys, it's nice to hear what everyone else sees.....not only for reference but to make me feel better.:hehe:

could it be the 370's not having the right spray pattern raising the EGS that high??

definately not helping... at 19.5* the 370's are WAY out of the bowl...

I'm surprised the S400 can't cool off 370's

get you some EDM's w/ a tight spray pattern and give it some more timing

Well to be honest the injectors are EDMs, I just call them 370s cuz the place i got them from had made them to flow more than a 370s and I am not sure exactly what to call them. I need to get some more details from my supplier on them but that is all I can tell you at the moment about what they flow. I am running the thin washers with these injectors, maybe switch some thicker ones?
What do you suggest I put timing at? 22* to 24* or more??

Thanks, Joe

I have "modified" DDP4s and can hit 1800 on the street... I don't know what I hit going down the pulling track..

Add Water Joe :)

BTW the DDP4's are a sweet 12 valve injector :)

Would love to Scott, but I think that is against the rules at most of our pull venues out here, unless I am mistaken....of course it is not for you as your rig is "modified."
I guess I could look into it as that would definately bring those numbers down some. Just don't want to spend the money on a system like that and get to a pull and not be able to use it.

do what any true sportsman would do... hide it! :D

Dang I wish I understood more of what you're all talking about. I was coming home from Natalie's on sunday and I usually run between 600-900 on the highway, but had the a/c on and was hauling azz at about 90 and it went up to 1200ish, I kinda got skeered lol, cuz I let up off the gas and it didn't cool down, it went up. So I pulled over and then it was fine. Needless to say I left the a/c off. But I was thinking about when I pull... I think I'm gonna crap myself it I do have time to look over there. Jeez. I think my needle pegs out at 1800-2000. Hell, I still don't even know what happens if that beast gets too hot...

I was thinkin I need to read a bunch of "How it Works" modules lol.
(OMG... I just made a 'diesel' relevant post!!! WOOOOHOOO!) :P

:umno:Oh yeah, it's so easy to hide those steel braided lines going right into the manifold......
Sorry, Forrest I am not a cheater, I like to attempt to win within the rules as one should do. Nothing against you but true sportsmans play within the rules and win within the rules.
