So why does everyone recommend the Interco STS's? Going to have to get new tires before long here and they dont look too bad. Interco says they will do good in snow, which we have a lot of. How are they on the street and track? Looking at the 33-12.50-16 10 plys

Keep them off the street, I know guys that haven't gotten 10k miles out of them on the street.

I have heard they are better for the sand and good for pulling due to the not so aggressive tread pattern as compared to a mudder. I personally have had great luck with BFG Mud Terrains front and rear but I am seriously considering putting some STSs up front for my puller. Around here the best combo I have seen work well is BFG mudders in the rear and STSs up front, for dual wheeled trucks anyway.....

I heard the same on the STS's but have not tried them. I used 35x12.50s PJ dirt grips and I will drive on them rim befor I ever buy another set of those. I really like bfg mud terran and wrangler mtr's they don't last the longest but they are miles ahead of pj's. Also red puller did you pull in vegas back in may?

only 10k on the street? That sucks. I have gotten about 40k on my cooper STTs

Yup, there was a good pic of my pull on Saturday in the August issue(I think) of Diesel World.

Buy your BFGs now they no longer make them.
RedPuller I have a dually and have been tring different tire combos. Why are you putting more aggesive tires in the back? I have been doing the opposite and thought it was working well. With the weight of the sled on the rear of the truck near the end of the pull the traction feels good with a less aggesive tread in back to me.
