Hey everyone, I'm a newbie to this site (previously hung out on the "other" forum).

Anyways, tell me what you think of my pull last night. Went 355 ft for first place (this is only my second chance to hook to a sled). Have to say thanks to those of you that have given me advice over the last year or so.

Sorry for the shaky video (especially at the beginning), it was a first time camera operator!

Good Job! We pulled last night in Faucette, MO. I made my 3rd hook last night, and broke my first yoke and u-joint.-Nicholas:rockwoot:

What year engine you putting in your F350?

I've got an 305 hp common rail going into my excursion, with a few goodies ofcourse:Cheer:

you seem to suffer from the same problem i do...too much tire on the big end of the track.

i am dropping to 33's as soon as i can afford them

I was very surprised how well the BFG A/T hooked up at the end of the track. I think every truck ended like that in Auburn, no one spun out (I'll have to look at the video again to be sure).

How do you think I would have done if I ran 2nd hi instead of 4th low? A little more wheel speed (3 mph), would I get under the twins at the end sooner or would the additional wheelspeed keep them from hooking as well? I wish I would have tried it...

with those tires grabbing like that, you wouldnt get the extra 3mph, something would have broke in 2nd hi prolly

Got Torque, Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I turned in early. I am in the process of rebuilding a '96 12 valve. The F350 is going to be my tow rig, so I am not going too wild with it--yet.:evil My goal is to have 4 trucks( including my wifes Dakota I just got her) with Cummins in them, the Dodge being the only one factory installed.

So for that track I either needed more power or less tire to spin out at the end?

NCOVEY, wow three cummin conversions! My one conversion is probably going to be enough for me. It is our family rig so I have to work out all the details ahead of time so the swap itself doesn't take to long. I'm going to be running a SPS62 turbo, ATS exh manifold, Smarty, billet input shaft, laminate flexplate, goerends convertor, ATS valvebody and controller, and head studs. I hope its enough for the wife to get the kids to school on time:D

Sounds like one sweet ride. If I got to show up to school in something like that, you would of had to pry me out of the seat. Two of my conversions are 4bt's, and one is a 6bt. Throw in the Dodge, and find 1 more, I can have 5.1 surround sound:bigsmile:

What year is your truck and does it have a 5sp or 6sp and what rear end. I was at the pull and you had a nice hook it looked like you had plenty of wheel speed.

It's an 01, 6 spd, and 3.54 gears that needed replaced but ran out of money.

So you were probably running 3500 rpm which would put you at 25.6 MPH with 33" tires. I pulled earlier that night and was amazed how much bite the end of the track had it was definetely sticky. In my opinion you chose the right gear any thing more and you would have had a hard time coming out of the hole and keeping it lit plus you would have gotten underneath them at the end.

Running BFG 315/70-17 tires so it put me at 26.7 mph at 3500 rpm. What did you pull with? I have video of all the diesel trucks there...

I had the primer black reg cab long box that pulled with the power pullers. That was the third pull with that truck so I am still working the bugs out.

Looked good. That track was a little different. It wasn't really gummy but had plenty of bite. What did you think of the sled? I have never pulled one that started that light and then dropped you at the end. Unless you had a lot less tread on those tires you wouldn't have spun out.

Oh and BTW.. I pull a 2wd with the NPPA.

Hi Jeff. You guys coming to Bedford and Malvern?

Well, I've only pulled twice, but I've watched quite a few. This sled was much better than the one in Humboldt. I spoke with the sled operator at Auburn for quite a while, it starts with the pan completely off the ground so you are just pulling the weight of the sled on the tires (easier for everyone to get started, saves on clutch material too). Even though this one dropped hard at the end, it didn't drag an anchor in the dirt like some do. Some sleds that drop an anchor in the ground and stop so quick are really favored by the auto trucks because the most speed at the end when it drops will always win (with everything else equal).

Blackbumper, I showed up late so I didn't get to see you pull. Maybe I'll see you at the Pawnee City pull.

You could have also dropped the hitch a little.. this would have given you a little less down pull, but you got first, and didn't break anything... Can't beat that... Good Hook...

Hi Jeff. You guys coming to Bedford and Malvern?

My goal is to make it to Bedford, Malvern, and Pawnee City as long as I don't break anything.

Good. I figured that you would since you guys are running the semi. The truck is running good and I like the gooseneck ball.
