Does anyone make a block off plate for the P-pump for when you remove the plate and AFC?

or is this just a simple aluminum plate with some holes in for the bolts

There is a Mack application that has the AFC block off plate, it has room to keep the plate though.

Past that its just an aluminum plate people make, never seen them for sale myself.

I would think one that would accommodate the fuel plate so it could be adjusted would be of benefit for some added tuning

You should be able to buy just the cover part like shown in that picture from any bosch dealer. I think it was from a industrial application. Or i had a machine shop cut me a piiece of alluminum and cut a groove that would use the same oring that the factory afc uses. It cost us $75 to get the program started. They did not mill it out to run a plate though. My new 13mm pump has to run a plate to control fuel so mine is on the shelf for right now.

Remove the fuel plate, block the manifold pressure to the AFC diaphram, and use the AFC lever to control the amount of rack travel needed. You may need a longer stud depending on the fueling desired, and it would be externally adjustable.

I made one for my last pump out of aluminum to use the old gasket (didn't have room for a plate) which was fine since I ran plateless with that pump. The new pump will require a plate so I need to start on another design that allows adjustment from the back.

I think some type of electronic afc would do the trick, an actuator with a computer controlled AFC foot.
