lookin for a good pump for p-pumping my 24v... i just got a hell of a deal an another cummins the other day so my 01 is now goin to be officialy my FUN truck geared towards sled pulling.... so streetability won't be much more than havn fun on friday nights.... with that in mind im starting to gather the stuff needed for the conversion and was wonderin what kind of pump im goin to need to have PLENTY of fuel for the 2.6 class..... didn't know if a stock pump would be plenty or f i need to go bigger i know 've read stuff about 13mm pumps? but dunno the least about the mechanical injection system..... guess its time to start readin the 12v forums.....

so what kinda pump should i be looking for?

and i was also goin to just get the conversion kit from schieds will this have every thing needed?

thnx for all the input guys....

Look for a pump off a 96-98 with a manual tranny. Those are the 215hp rated trucks. 887 or 913 are the numbers your lookin for. Im sure others with more experience will chime in later.

X2 on the 96-98.5 manual trans pump, OR I know some one with an II Dragon Flow 13mm pump :evil

Go for the 215 HP pump, then get a 4k GSK, delivery valves and a fuel plate. I have been told that the kit from schied does not have alot of the parts you will need. You'd be better off buying a blown engine because it will have all the covers and other parts you'll need. You'll also need the throttle linkages. I have a p pumped 24v that is alot of fun and making quit a bit of power with only the 180 HP pump.

My kit from scheid had every piece I needed for the conversion. Including the linkages for the pump. every bolt,o-ring, t for oil delivery to the pump and the oil feed line. I would highly recommend buying the kit. saves alot of hastle chasing parts. In my personal opinion a 13mm pump is not needed for a 2.5 2.6 truck. What lines are you planning to run? A 180 or 215 pump would be best but with the right tweeking a 160 or 175 will do the job.

A properly tuned 215 horse pump would be enough for the 2.6 class. But like i said, its gonna have to be properly tuned. The kits from scheid are nice pieces.$.02

Depending on were you are pulling, a 13mm pump may be worth looking into.
There are quite a few trucks running 13mm pumps in 2.6.

got available a 215 P pump off 98 12v with low miles.

please send email for pic's... contact info, etc.
located in Tulsa

where would u go to find a 13mm pump? are the competion pumps only or where they put on other vehicles? and also are the the same as far as tuning and moding as 215 pump?.... sorry for the dumb ?'s i've always had a vp truck dunno much about them mechanical injection but im very eager to learn!!!

You CAN get a 12mm pump that will provide PLENTY of fuel for a 2.6 truck, but it will also be maxed out on its output. Now, a 13mm might be overkill, then again, maybe not... depends how serious you want to get. Also, someody above mentioned a 4kgsk, I would go straight to a 5k kit personally. You can run a 5k kit at 4500 if you choose, but you can't(i don't think) run a 4k kits at 4500. If you get a stock pump, are you going to send it somewhere to get it done, or just do all the DIY mods yourself? I.E. AFC, plate, springs...

You can look around the forsale section, quite often they are for sale on here.
You can also send a core 12mm pump to places like Scheid or columbus and they will build it into a 13 mm. You do have to stay with the auto gov. for most every 2.6 class I have seen though.

Industrial injection sells 13mm pumps, they have 3 diffrent levels to choose from, they can get pricey. But, they still use the auto style gov vs. the ag gov, that we use on the 3.0... trucks. The ones with ato style gov's are very similar to tune. There are other ones out there, like scheid makes and sells them and so on.
