Pump Install

so time to install new IP

obviosly one has to line up the timing marks at TDC , but it is a four stroke engine and it is possible to be lined up twice on TDC

how does one tell quick n dirty which tdc is used to install the IP

It's pretty hard to screw this up on a VE motor, even though many do it:bang. As long as the cam gear is properly timed to the crank gear, the pump gear is properly timed to the cam gear, the pump will ONLY go on ONE way!!! The VE does not have a tapered p-pump shaft!! It's keyed, the gear is keyed....:bang
