i have been told that there are only two shops in the country that can accurately flow a big pump at rpm

schied and cds

do you believe this to be true?

Voted No...but actually have no real data to back it up. CDS does my pumps, but Schied is good from what I've seen.
People also say Hart's does some good bigger pumps too.

I'm sure there are others I'm missing...but again, no real data to go along!

CDS is 45 minutes from me, and as good as my pump drives and fuels, I don't need anyone else:D

There is more to the diesel performance industry than our small world. I am sure there are others, but like signature600 said no data to back up that opinion.

thats funny...

the guys posting the horsey icon didnt vote

dont be scairt - you have heard it mentioned here before - do you believe it or not?

i am just curious what the majority believes...

not gonna argue either way cuz i (like the rest of you) do not know for sure

I voted no.

While I doubt few have as big a setup as CDS I am sure there are some shops that have stand far bigger than the standard. That said a big pump stand is only as good as the operator that runs it. That is what sets apart CDS IMHO.

Don, What happened to St. Joseph diesel?

Garrett from Pure Diesel Power gets all his pumps built from them, and his truck is a monster.

Shush, I have a St. Joe pump sitting here.

Id like to think its good.

No we use bosch 815s and dont have a problem with anything yet. Weston, could an 815 handle a 13mm pump? My 440cc pump almost burned up the bosch 711 when i was running it. Said overfueling and overheating all over the screen.

Did not vote in your poll Don. Have no personal knowledge of cds and have heard good things about them.(NOT on the web) And you also know how I feel about most Diesel shops from another site several years back..... Scheids is the only shop I would call and tell them what I am doing and how I want it to run and trust them to help make it happen, and also one of the very few I will even deal with anymore. FWIW

I don't have any data or names either, but I voted no. Surely CDS and Schied don't do all of the super farm tractors pumps, and all of the various big pumps running out there.

My only question is why does garretts truck run so well with a st joseph diesel pump. Their own truck the red dually did not run that great the few times i saw it run last year. It ran in leon twice last year and i wasnt impressed. Their truck ran like their tractor turbos they build.

More to how a truck pulls than just a pump that flows a lot of fuel...

guess you havent seen their truck pull then their pump doesnt flow crazy amount ive talked to them after they ran, but hey what do i know this is coming from the shop trying to tell me my 6speed should be dynoed in 4th gear since thats direct waste of $60 and 4hr round trip.

I voted no. There are more shops out there that do good work. If I had to pick between the two in the poll it would by far be CDS though.
