Pump Timing Procedure

Was talking to a fellow that went to Cummins traing school, He said that they showed how to set & advance pump timing buy using a paperclip. Anyone ever here of this ?

What using it as the dial indicator? If its possible, cant be that accurate.

Its true !!:evil even in Europe they show how to use it .:rockwoot:

The paperclip is for TDC finding with drop-valve method (with installed damper)
