I need to install a pyrometer on an '08 Cummins.

Is the manifold divided? Do I have to drill to one side or another, or can I do it right in the middle?

Thanks.

I have not seen a 6.7 manifold, but I would guess it has a vain....

The back3 cylinders will be hotter than the front so if you are only using one probe I would do the back section.

The non-Dodge 6.7's are not divided; they can get away with it due to the EGR and VGT. They measure manifold back pressure readings on the front of the manifold and take the EGR gas from the rear, and they might asplode if they go into active regen with the EGR open.

But things are different on Dodges.

You installed it right in the middle or in the back half?

Alright, it's a good thing to know that the manifolds are not divided.

I also now confirm that non-Dodge 6.7's also have un-divided manifolds, and the VGT exhaust housing on the one I took apart to verify wasn't divided either.
