question about sct and HP

I Dyno'd my '10 6.4 on the weekend, and while I think it was impressive for what it has done, I was still expecting more.

All runs were on a Mustang MD250 temp was cold, close to freezing

Truck has DPF delete only, Cat and stock airfilter are still on. I am running a SCT with Eric's tunes

First runs were on the Extreme race setting

Highest I could get was 476 HP at just over 1000 ft lbs tq

Then I ran it on the extreme street, and did 459 HP at just under 1000 tq.

From everything I was reading, I was really expecting a considerable amount more from the extreme setting.... what do you all think
 
That does sound low but were the tunes that were emailed to you? How did they load the truck a local shop did my 6.4 with the mini max and their first run was like 400 and once they did it right it did 518 and 1094 so obviously the opperator can effect the outcome quite a bit
 
I sent the whole unit down to Eric to have them installed on the SCT. After talking to Eric I think the problem is my air intake. I still have the stock one on there. I am pretty sure if I was running an aftermarket or even just removed the filter I would have been more in the 550 range
 
I havent drove it on the race tune, but both the street tune and the extreme street tune are good, once you let the tranny learn.. for the first little bit when you change the level it sucks pretty good
 
Well, Hello There Sir!

I hope you are doing well. We dynoed on Wednesday night before going to PRI. The dyno couldn't get a torque number but our rwhp was 559.66. That's on an old file cause I forgot my dongle at home and couldn't change tunes. We expect a newer version to be around 580-585.

At the track on Friday night, Frank ran an 8.78 and 8.74 with a stock truck on 37 inch tires. I thought that was pretty good.

I'm going to ask Rene to post the dyno sheet. He did already upload the runs to our Facebook page: Incompatible Browser | Facebook

how are the sct tunes compared to the spartan? i ran 8.2 8.1 all night with the 310 tune from spartan at the pri race. i had the black an silver 08 on 35' idk if u seen it vivian?

Yes, I saw your truck run. Good Job! and it's a very nice truck.

Where are you located? We have a event, in Miami that we will be attending on the 23rd of January. I have a TSX that I can load a tune onto your truck and would love for you to give us your feedback.

If not possible, we will be attending other events during the year - I believe another one in Florida in February. Let me know!

Dyno numbers on the 6.4L are deceiving, I bet you run high 12's with the Xtreme Race. I dyno 538rwhp with our Xtreme Race on my dyno, but I've seen them range from 530-617rwhp across the country. I'm positive you won't find a tune to run any faster. :Cheer:

I was running 8.1 with a F-450 cclb drw that's 10k. This was on a spartan 250 tune. I didn't have studs yet

Yup. Did it at Newport tn at riffraff east. I was certainly surprised by it. Beat Kenny (stroken) twice. I could stage with 25psi. These 6.4s are pretty amazing. Too bad I popped the headgaskets within 20k of buying it.
