Question about what Dodge to purchase

Not really familiar with Dodges. Have a friend looking at an 04 CCLB 4wd auto w/manual shift tcase. Truck has 50,000 miles for $23,000. All stock.

First is that a good/fair price?

Second, not sure if its a 4.5. How can we determine that?

Third, should he be looking for a "specific" year. Meaning is one year really better than another.

where are you located? I have some nice trucks on my car lot that could interest you. and 23K for an 04? thats high, I have an 08 6.7 with 60K im selling for that!
 
i sold an 06 with 64K CCLB SRW 6speed for $20,000 if that gives you an idea
