Pick one.. You can tune the VNT turbo to make boost pretty much off idle. It's a balancing act between drive pressure and boost pressure. You want as much as boost as possible but at the same time keeping drive pressure as close to the boost number as possible.
The factory VNT's have a very high drive pressure after 30 psi of boost so we have sourced higher flowing turbines and compressors and built our own custom VNT's. They are good to 50psi. We are currently machining cartridges to test ball bearings in. The ball bearing carts should work even better.
