With the truck listed in my sig, I am looking to get into the 550hp range with my truck, finally got rid of the Ve for the P-pump, and have twins now. I have 370s and 191 Dvs to put in it, will this be enough or what else shoul i do. truck still at stock timing. Thanks for the help fellas.

What is your timing stock? You could probably bump it up to the 18* range and be just fine.

well im waiting to get some miles on it first so i can do a re-tourqe on the head gasket, before i start turnin it up. Unfortunatly i only have a 160hp pump, but it was a reman in the box and got a very good deal on it, so couldnt turn it down. Think ill still be able to get into the 550 range with a 160 pump

I'm with everyone else you should be there with 18-20 degrees of timing!

How far can you go on timing with 370's before you spray outside the bowl?

not exactly sure but i know at 22* with 370 the tops of the pistons are getting burnt.

keep in mind that he is also running the ve pistons....diff bowl/spray angle. it would be 155* if im not mistaken(marine 370 angle)

I think his is a non IC truck because in his sig it says PS intercooler, im assuming PS means powerstroke and i guess that was or is a popular thing to do with non IC first gens.

your probly ok with 18-20 degrees, i was told 18 is out of the bowl for a second gen with marine 155* nozzles, but our bowls are smaller.

Your setup is i guess you can call it old school, 370's, 35/3b,191's. the good ol stuff! haha have fun with your bad ars first gen
