question on map sensor?

is there a difference in 2001 trucks on the map sensor? i have a 2001 manufacturer date 4/00 and my dad has an 2001 with a manufacturer date of 5/00.... and the map sensors are not the same for what ever reason.... did they cahnge during that month?.... just looking for some info.. thanks

The new replacement sensors will come with an adapter harness. For some dayum reason, they changed the connector modled on the sensor at some point. The adapter is like $10 or so, at least it was when I bought mine. They may have changed during the manufactured years or some time after that, but it isn't any big deal I don't think. $.02

sweet hope the part comes with an adapter to make it fit to other models. They should made MAP Sensor Adapter same specs.
