i have a question about my truck. i am building a 1997 ram 1500 reg cab short box and am putting a ve engine into it. my question is will stock injectors fuel a 63mm turbo with a small housing or will it just be super laggy.

it is a 1992 intercooled engine.. but it is a switchblade turbocharger. hope to be able to run 14s.

Why stock injectors? They're pretty cheap for a 12v.

Mainly because I am 17 got the engine and truck extremely cheap. But also have a 24v and everything to p-pump it. So the plan is use this engine for now until I build the p-pump 24v.

You'll be VERY hard pressed to hit 14.9 on stock IC injectors. I ran a 15.5 at 89mph with a standard and 14.6 @ 94mph with an auto, 370s, and HE351. The turbo was not the limiting factor.

I ran 14.8 with stock injectors, stock turbo, the only only mods were tweaked pump and Denny t stage 1 fuel pin.

It would have went faster but it wouldn't shift into OD

Got to remember this truck only weighs 5100 pounds. It is fairly light.

Light fueling will usually spool the turbo quicker, so you shouldn't have an issue. As for power, get an egt gauge, and that will tell you what kind of fuel your injectors are putting out.
