Do I lube the end that threads into the block? I bottom tapped/cleaned each hole, just dont wanna miss a step.

TIA

Use a little oil on the threads into the block, and use the arp lube on the washers (both sides) and the nut on the bottom and some on the threads to.

i used anti seize after i had a rather difficult time getting the old set of studs out, hopefully if i ever have to taken them out down the road there will be no issues.

How much oil is a "little"?

I was told to put oil in a plastic zip-lok bag, submerge the threads of the bolt in the bag, then grab the threads bolt through the plastic with my fingers and rotate to knock most of the oil off.

15w40 okay on the threads?

Why not use the moly-lube on all the threads?

I dip the studs in oil and then fling the oil off, too much will cause it to hydrluic in the hole and you think youre all the way in. You can even just use a brush just to get them wet.

Bottoming the studs in the block, and then backing them off perhaps a quarter turn basically has the studs not turn when you go to pulling up the torque.

There is a substantial amount of burnishing of the stud and nut threads when you do pull them up hence the super monkey snot. ;)

Call the folks at Haisley Machine if you have any questions about the A1 product.

Engine oil on the threads in the block, and clean the threads in the block out ,out if there is anything in there ,
Do not use anti seize on studs it’s not the same , use ARP’s ultra Lube , its dramatically better and allows a more consistent clamping load then anything else .
If you need a packet of lube PM me , I them out all the time ,

dont use wd40. it will disappear after heat cycles then your stud threads will get stuck on the block.

FWIW, have you noticed how bad the engine oil lube carburizes? Especially on the exhaust side of the head? Enough reason alone to chase/bottom tap the bores.
