I have broken the rocker foot (plastic holder) on no.6 intake 2 times, is there a reason behind this? or could it be something worse?

also I changed all of them to the older one peice all metal ones, is this ok? I mean will they interchange?

damn... I figured somebody would know, or has swapped these before

Using the older ones is fine. Good in fact. The puzzle is why number 6 intake. Did the foot come clear off, or just break the plastic clip?

no the foot is staying on there... but I have broken that same one twice... which I cant understand....

Have you checked to see if the pushrod is bent and maybe side loading it a little?

It's pretty common to have them broken. Most people don't even know it, until they take the rockers off for some reason. The pieces of plastic can only go back to the oil pan, but most of the time they stay in the head.

yeah I wasn't really worried about the plastic peice, just wondering if there was another problem causing this..... and if the older metal ones were ok... they are slightly taller than the newer ones
