Hey guys, i have a 99 1500. I want to swap a diesel into it. what would be easier, the 12 or 24 valve. I was thinking the 24 because thats what came in the 99s. I want my gauges and everything to work as factory, but im not going to run a wait to start light or any diesel associated dash lights. I plan to leave my current dash in there. I have heard most of the wiring is interchangable and plugs right in on a 24v swap? my plan was to pull the motor along with the ecm, pcm and wiring with it then swap it over and re-plug everything. What wiring issues will i run into? also, i will be swapping trans, t-casee and axles also. any help is appreciated.
