Rear end popping?

As the title says my rear end is popping and carrying on and i dont know what to do? I have a regular cab long bed 02 dodge i noticed when i was turning on the concrete pad that the tires would not disengage they would keep locked in and would kinda scoot and leave a black mark... What do you all think? oh and it will make the popping noise if i am just puttin along in 2nd gear.. Do i have to worry bout it locking up going down the road? any help would be greatly appreciated

my friend was telling me that there is a additive to put in that keeps the differentials from sticking or something ever heard of it?

Yes, if you haven't serviced it, just pop the cover off and drain it do an inspection. It is limited slip additive, any auto parts store should have some.

and how much will it cost to rebuild it if its blew up?

Depends, on what the damage is. I have heard that the spider gears are pretty much impossible to get. Detroit costs about $550. I have a 4.10 posi carrier for a D80 I would sell.
