okay, so I tried searching and did not come up with anything, so here is my question. What temperture for your rear end is too hot? I ask this because towing flat land the other day in my truck my rear end got to 210-230 degrees towing a 16k load going 60mph. My truck has 3.55 gears and an NV4500. I tow a lot but this is the first time I've had this gauge installed. Am I running too hot or is this normal?

Thank you!

well...mine peals any paint i have ever used....for 265k...i am done worrying about it. Three fluid changes and thats it. 3rd gen...

look up the boiling point of the fluid. when the heat gets so hott that it breaks down your fluid is when stuff usually starts breaking
