rebuilding my nv4500

Hey guys, just wondering how much it usually costs to go through a 4x4 nv4500. My truck has 315k on it, and it grinds going into 3rd gear (syncro)

Where do you buy rebuild kits and who has the best price? I already have the big input shaft, upgraded hydros, and SBC dual disk.

Assuming the gears are all in good shape, I would think bearings, syncros and seals should have it shifting smooth again correct?

After the trans, I will be yanking the engine (and maybe p-pumping it)

Checkout Midwest Transmission,
I read that when New venture went bankrupt they bought the prints and tooling for the NV4500 parts. They are now making the parts to exceed OEM and they are made in the USA.

We buy kits through Inland Truck Parts in KC, Mo. I think the master kit was like $200
