First attempt which blew the intercooler boot off...

Here's the second hook after I got the boot back on.

Didn't break anything which is always good.

After melting my S465 down two weeks ago I tried something different on the charger...

Boost 50 Drive 70-75

EGT's ~ 2000

Next up is to reinstall the ED external gate, smaller exh. housing and my new water injection. Hopefully, it will be alittle easier to stay on top of it with these changes...
 
I don't know for sure but my truck died at the end too. I've never had it act like that and i've pulled it alot with the same setup. I think the track was so bad and we weren't getting much momentum that when the weight come on it hooked up and killed us. My truck didn't even hardly pull down before it completely died.

Looked as though traction was definately an issue for you guys.
To bad power pullers have an event next weekend. It would be nice to see some of those guys at other pulls other than Wahoo.
 
I think he thought the truck was a 3rd gen. It is a dark video but it is a p-pumped 24v.
 
Bearing failure from oil starvation and/or contamination. Ruined everything but the exhaust housing and center section.

Best guess on the S465 was that my -AN4 oil line was not large enough... Turbo shaft was purple, the bearings (actually bushings) became solid on the inside and sealed off every oil hole that should have fed oil to the shaft. The bushings got so hot that they swelled and had to be punched out of the center section. Both wheels, the compressor cover, and the section section were all ruined...

It's a mystery, I know others have ran a -AN4 line to their turbo and not had any issues?
 
My bearings failed 2 weeks ago it was the thrust first then the journals still spins fine but alot of in/out play sending it out this week for a rebuild, for some reason the center section on mine twisted around a little and my drain hose on the bottom was kinked , I'm guessen thats what happend
