Recovery file for vin reflash

Bought a used ecm for my 04.5 to hopefully fix an instrumentation issue . Can a recovery file with the correct vin be used or am I stuck taking this truck/ecm to the dealer?

I believe I have sent you a recovery software before. If you still have it uae it. If not shoot me your full name and vin and I will check my records. If you need a new recovery there is a charge for that. If I have yours no charge.
